Implementation

C. Hall Jones & Associates, Inc., work’s with our clients to implement the training course or program in any one of several ways:

  • provide the completed training course or program to the client and leave the implementation entirely up to the client.

  • provide and deliver the completed training course or program to the training personnel at the client’s organization and work with them to prepare them to implement the training course or program to the client’s personnel.

  • provide and deliver the initial training course or program for the client. At the client’s discretion this initial offering may or may not include the client’s training personnel who will then continue to deliver the training course or program to the client’s personnel following the initial offering.

  • contract with the client to provide and deliver the training course or program to the client’s personnel on a continuing basis.

Any implementation plan must consider and incorporate the seven primary learning strategies. For any of these strategies to work well to maximize the efficiency and the effectiveness of the learning experience, the strategy must match the organization’s needs and philosophy, must match the subject matter to be covered, must match the desired learning outcomes, must be correctly adapted to the important specific characteristics of the learners, and must be directly linked to the assessment tool(s) used.

The seven primary learning strategies are:

  1. The Behavioral Strategy. The behavioral strategy is best employed in situations where a basic or advanced motor and/or cognitive skill is required to be mastered as accurately, as efficiently, and as effectively as possible.

  2. The Cognitive Strategy. The cognitive strategy is best employed in situations where important information is conveyed and/or where it is important to understand how something works.

  3. The Inquiry Strategy. The inquiry strategy is best employed in situations where the goal is developing and/or refining critical, creative, dialogical thinking skills.

  4. The Mental Models Strategy. The mental models strategy is best employed in situations where the goal is developing and/or refining problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  5. The Group Dynamics Strategy. The group dynamics strategy is best employed in situations where the goal is improving human relations and building the skills required for successfully working in teams.

  6. The Virtual Reality Strategy. The virtual reality strategy is best employed in situations where the goal is to develop confidence and competence in a simulated situation prior to entering into the comparable real life situation where there may be physical safety and/ or financial loss considerations.

  7. The Holistic Strategy. The holistic strategy is best employed in situations where the goal is a reflection on the experience of personal learning and/or self-discovery.
